Or if you want to be really obtuse like me you could make sure you have
the LaTeX exporter and use pdflatex to generate your PDF files. Why would
anyone want to go the extra effort? Well so far it is the only way I know
of to get PDF and preserve hyperlinks. The PDF output from this two
step process may not be as good
for other reasons but I have some documents which are heavily linked it
is something I particularly want preserved. Given that you are concerned
about presentation and things looking exactly the same this probably isn't
for you but it is something I like to mention every so often.
