Scrolling and Margin issues

Hello,
I am very interested in Abiword as a lighter, faster alternative to OOo
Writer.

However, three issues I wish to ask about which were concerning to me
when I tried out Abiword:

1) Vertical scrolling is not smooth. If one scrolls up and down a
document, all the lines of text blur and smudge together into one mass
of black color. Is something in the process of being done about this?

It makes it quite difficult to scroll to a desired location, since one
cannot see the text as one scrolls. The only option becomes page-up and
page-down. Whereas the scrollbar should also be a viable option. There
are certain circumstances in which it would be the preferred option, if
it worked.

2) If one selects "Web Layout" in the view window of an OOo Writer
document, then the margins of the page automatically go to zero on all
four sides, and one has the entire screen at one's disposal. However, if
one selects the Web View in Abiword, the margins remain exactly as they
were in the Standard View. So that there is no perceptible difference
between the Web view and the Standard view.

And in certain distros, manually expanding the margins to include the
entire screen is not easy to do in Abiword. Which gives the need for a
functional "Web Layout" option all the more importance.

3) In the fonts window (the window for changing the font), there is no
scrollbar. One has to just click on an arrow, and the let the window
autoscroll to the font one needs. --But that system is very slow, and if
one has a lot of fonts, and needs to change them with any regularity, it
is very troublesome. There should be a scrollbar, so one can scroll
quickly through the list of fonts to reach the one one needs.

I am very much in favor of the concept of Abiword as a light and fast WP
usable by people all over the world, with both new and old computers.
Solving the above issues--together especially with the SCIM/m17n
problems which I've mentioned--will help Abiword to fulfill these
goals.

Please let me know whether these issues have already been addressed, and
if not, whether I should submit them as bugs.

Thank you,
Swarup
