Polytonic Greek (and vocalised Hebrew) with text processing programs has
been a royal pain for longer than I care to remember (not on Apple
computers I believe).
Of course, you can always revert to pre WordPerfect 5, pre Greek
Language Module, and create your own keyboard layout (that is how it was
done :-(), but obviously you are not looking for that.
There is the Thessalonica add-on (already mentioned) for OpenOffice, but
I have never managed to get it to work, neither under Windows, nor under
Linux. Maybe I will just have to try harder.
I still rely on MS Word + Antioch and I am quite happy with it. Besides,
I am sick and tired of spending so much time on looking for alternatives
and trying to get them to work. AFAIK the Antioch developer is not
developing ports (and Antioch is written in VB).
Sorry Andrew, I cannot help you, but I am glad you brought up the
question on this board. Remember, however, that we are a *very* modest
niche ;-)
Cheers,
Gerard
